Although it's a beautiful place to visit, I would not return based on the simple fact of prices gouging. There are far too many separate areas that require a $8 extra fee. I feel that one ticket should be all inclusive. That being said, most of the staff were pleasant and helpful. However, there were a few who walked the property to ensure that everyone respected the flowers, who could have been a little friendlier.

Unbelievable. In photos, the place is amazing. In real life, it’s breathtaking. I inherited my Green Thumb from my mother, who lives 2,100 miles away, and I had wanted to go for decades but held out until she & I could go together- it was well worth the wait. From entrance to exit, you won’t want to miss a beat. So well planned, beautifully maintained, not too crowded, go at your own pace… Perfection. For anyone that loves their own garden, it is an absolute joy. Tickets are incredibly affordable and an Uber from San Diego was $50, and it was a day i will never forget.

We visited the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch on Saturday with my husband and friends, and we had such a beautiful experience. We stayed for over 2 hours and walked about 2.5 miles enjoying everything the fields have to offer. The flower fields are absolutely stunning so colorful and well maintained. One of our favorite parts was the butterfly encounter. It’s about $7 per person, and you get around 10 minutes inside (they’re pretty relaxed with timing, which is nice). Totally worth it! General admission was around $17 per person, and honestly, it was worth every penny for the views and experience. There’s also a tractor ride available for an extra fee (about $8–$10 per person), which is a great option if you want to relax and see more of the fields. Important tip: wear comfortable shoes because it’s mostly dirt paths and you’ll be walking quite a bit. Please be mindful of the flowers and respectful of the space especially with kids. It’s important not to damage or pick the flowers so everyone can enjoy them. Overall, a beautiful, peaceful, and memorable experience. Highly recommend visiting at least once!

I visited on a weekday arriving when it opens at 9am and place was not crowded, tickets need to be purchased online and I did it days prior incase they sold out. Weather was excellent and the flower fields were beautiful, the tractor wagon ride is a great way to get around much easier and enjoy the views. I walked to the end of the fields enjoying the sights, the maze and butterfly encounter is also a must see when visiting. It’s a great experience to feed and let the butterflies fly around and see them up close. Highly recommended for small and large groups, some uphill walking towards the fields for strollers and wheelchairs. Definitely a place worth visiting, be prepared to take lots of pictures.

Absolutely breathtaking! The Flower Fields are incredibly vast, and you are immediately surrounded by an endless sea of vibrant flowers. It’s such a relaxing and beautiful place to walk around and take photos. Highly recommend! Must buy tickets in advance! Photos from 2025.
